Happy Thanksgiving

I am on my way back home to LA for the holiday and since I will be away from
the PC here's my message for all.

This past week, a dear friend of mine was killed in a motorcycle/truck accident in London. He left a wife and two very young children.

Last night, my wife and son came home from being out with friends for dinner. I was feeling ill and tired and did not go. While they were gone, I listened to contemplative music (I always do, while I work). The music brought a flood of memories back but not just of Francesco but my son, who is 5 years old. I thought to myself, over and over again, that Francesco would not get to see them grow as I have and recieve that marvelous understanding of life that your children bring and I felt a great deal of anguish about this. I tried to imagine myself without my son, having to be somehow separated from him... It's a hard place to be. It really is.

However, I believe that somehow Francesco will see them from wherever he is and that he sees us too. He'd want for us not to go on grieving but to go on living and with the memory of his having been here with us, sharing good times.

He had a certain way of saying my name... "Pete". I'll never forget it.

This Thanksgiving, let's all remember how precious we are to each other and what it would be if our dearest family and friends weren't there, invoking a thanksgiving from our hearts for people everywhere.

Love your friends and family and give them the reason worth living for.
